The first cross-sectional study, encompassing participants from the early years to old age (N=312, age range 3-83 years), leveraged a mixed-methods approach, employing eye-tracking, behavioral, and verbal data gathering to explore goal focus. The second study delved deeper into the verbal assessments of the initial investigation, employing a sample of adults (N=1550, age range 17-88 years). Taken as a whole, the results do not showcase a clear pattern, thereby presenting a difficulty in interpretation.
