The present study was dedicated to crafting and evaluating the legitimacy and trustworthiness of the dentists' ethical disposition assessment tool (EADS). This study utilized a research design characterized by mixed methods. The ethical codes from a prior study provided the foundation for the scale items used in the 2019 qualitative phase of the study. This segment involved the execution of psychometric analysis. Reliability was measured through Cronbach's alpha and the intraclass correlation coefficient calculations. Factor analysis (n = 511) was employed to evaluate construct validity, resulting in three extracted factors with a total variance of 4803. One such factor was maintaining the profession's standing in interpersonal relationships. Dental services are rendered with unwavering professional integrity, and patient information is provided beneficially. The confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated satisfactory goodness-of-fit indices, with Cronbach's alpha for the various factors exhibiting a range from 0.68 to 0.84. From the results presented earlier, this scale exhibits adequate validity and reliability in assessing the ethical perspective of dental professionals.

EMTs, burdened by the obligation to work in critical situations, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, are often compelled to depart from the profession. This research investigated the connection between ethical workplace conditions and the inclination to depart from service among EMTs. The descriptive correlational study of 2021 involved a census survey of 315 EMTs employed in Zanjan province. The research study employed the Ethical Work Climate questionnaire, coupled with the Intention to Leave the Service questionnaire, as research tools. Data analysis was conducted with the aid of SPSS software, version 21. A mean score of 7393 (SD: 1253) was found for the organization's ethical work environment, and the mean intention to leave the service registered at 1254 (SD: 452), falling within the moderate spectrum. A statistically substantial positive correlation (r = 0.148, P = 0.017) linked these variables. Statistical significance was detected in the association between age and employment status, along with a noteworthy link between the ethical working environment and the intent to leave within the demographic variables assessed (p < 0.005). Our observations reveal a correlation between ethical work climate and EMT performance, despite its often-unnoticed impact. Subsequently, a suggested course of action for managers is the implementation of initiatives that promote a positive and ethical work environment, to reduce the rate of EMTs leaving the service.
The quality of professional life for pre-hospital emergency technicians was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This investigation explores the interrelation of professional quality of life, resilience, and pre-hospital emergency technicians in Kermanshah Province, Iran, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a census method, a descriptive, correlational cross-sectional study was carried out on 412 pre-hospital emergency technicians within Kermanshah Province during 2020. Data collection was facilitated by the Stamm Professional Quality of Life Questionnaire and the Emergency Medical Services Resilience scale. Pre-hospital emergency technicians' experience with professional quality of life dimensions fell within a moderate range, with resilience showing high/acceptable levels. A substantial connection was evident between the concept of resilience and the dimensions of professional quality of life. Resilience's influence on the three aspects of professional quality of life, as revealed by the regression test, was considerable. For this reason, the introduction of resilience-promoting strategies is suggested to elevate the professional quality of life among pre-hospital emergency medical professionals.
The Quality of Care Crisis (QCC) is a profound crisis in modern medicine, highlighting the urgent need to address the unmet existential and psychological demands of patients. A multitude of attempts have been made to pinpoint solutions for QCC, like Marcum's proposal to engender virtuousness in physicians. Technological advancements, while often implicated in the QCC crisis, are rarely considered part of the remedy. While the authors concur with technology's role in exacerbating the care crisis, this article explores how medical technology can be part of the solution. We analyzed QCC from the philosophical standpoints of Husserl and Borgmann, and consequently developed a unique proposal that accounts for technology's role in QCC. The initial analysis posits that the crisis of care is linked to technology, specifically due to the disparity between the technological sphere and the everyday realities of patients. This formulation demonstrates that the role of technology in causing the crisis is not intrinsic. A technology-based approach to tackling the crisis is implemented in the second stage. A proposed restructuring allows for the development of caring and mitigating QCC technologies through the design and application of technologies centered on key focal points and associated practices.
