It is found that
in the Fe(84-x)B(10)C(6)Cu(x) alloy system, the coercivity decreases with increasing x and exhibits a minimum at around x – 1.0. When x – 1.0, the alloy exhibits excellent magnetic properties after the appropriate heat treatment with a high B(s) of 1.78 T, low H(c) of 5.1 A/m, and low core loss less than 4.3 W/kg at 1.0 T and 400 Hz that is about 55% of that of oriented Si-steel. These results indicate that the application of this alloy to power transformers will produce very large energy savings. GSI-IX Proteases inhibitor (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. “There is ample evidence for ecological responses to recent climate change. Most studies to date have concentrated on the effects of climate change on individuals and species, with particular emphasis on
the effects on phenology and physiology of organisms as well as changes in the distribution and range shifts of species. However, responses by individual species to climate change are not isolated; selleck chemical they are connected through interactions with others at the same or adjacent trophic levels. Also from this more complex perspective, recent case studies have emphasized evidence on the effects of climate change on biotic interactions and ecosystem services. This review highlights the ‘knowns’ but also ‘unknowns’ resulting from recent climate impact studies and reveals limitations of (linear) extrapolations from recent climate-induced responses of species to expected trends and magnitudes of future climate find more change. Hence, there is need not only to continue to focus on the impacts of climate change on the actors in ecological networks but also and more intensively to focus on the linkages between them, and to acknowledge that biotic interactions and feedback processes lead to highly complex, nonlinear and sometimes abrupt responses.”
“A new type of unsaturated poly(ester-amide) viz maleic anhydride-phthalic anhydride-ethylene
glycol-neopentylene glycol-glycin copolymer was prepared by melt polycondensation. The copolymer was characterized by FT-IR, gel permeation chromatography, and thermal gravimetric analysis. The molecular structure of crosslinked unsaturated poly(ester-amide) was determined by wide-angle X-ray diffraction. Hydroxyapatite (n-HA) was used to boost up the new unsaturated poly (ester-amide), the flexural properties of n-HA/unsaturated poly(ester-amide) nanocomposites with different n-HA content were measured. Studies of degradation behavior were carried out in simulated body fluid at pH 7.4 and 37 degrees C, the flexural strength changes and cumulative mass loss of n-HA/unsaturated poly(ester-amide) nanocomposites were measured at different degradation times. The n-HA/unsaturated poly(ester-amide) nanocomposites was hydrolyzed in 1M NaOH standard solution at room temperature to study the mass loss with different n-HA contents.
